I heard the Canucks gave away 2 games. That probably would have been all the difference... if they had played smarter the first 2. Then again, let's see if they learned from their mistakes next year.

I wonder if Sedin's concusion had some de-moralizing effect on the team and its play ?

So that's it?

The Canucks are golfing (again) so that's the end of the playoffs...the end of the posts? There are still EIGHT teams left to fight for the grail...where'd the "love of the game" go?

Interesting to note that ALL series (but one) in the East went to 7 games, while most in the West were settled in 5.
No "sweeps", although a few came close.

Next round:

St Louis over LA in 6
Nashville over Phoenix in 6
Washington over New York in 7
Philadelphia over whoever (won't matter) in 6...possibly 5.

I don't think there were a lot of 'hockey' fans in here, just 'Canucks playoff hockey' fans.

Myself amongst them. Hockey fans, god bless them, are staring into the abyss.

Wow...my predictions aren't doing so good; Phoenix already leads that series by 2 games.
New York over Washington in their first and Philly beat New Jersey as expected.

Stay tuned hockey fans!

So...LA has swept the series against St. Louis
Phoenix is poised to finish their series tomorrow...New Jersey can wrap things up with one more win.
NY and Washington looks to go to 7 games.

I was totally out to lunch on my last set of predictions!

Could we be looking at a New Jersey/LA Kings final?

As expected, LA has advanced to the finals...setting a new record: Eighth-seed team takes out first, second AND third place teams on its way to the FINALS.

NY and NJ looks to go to 7 games as they trade victories.

...and still no hockey fans?

So the Canucks lost to quite a good team then.

Don't worry Shadow, real hockey fans are still watching, as the quality of hockey being played is amazing. I'm hoping to see Jersey in the finals. I'm also stoked that LA made it to the finals, Kopitar has always been a favourite of mine, and I'll be hoisting and toppling a few while watching the finals in his home country next week.

TBH, not particularly. The east especially has been boring. New York just drains the life out of every game. I will admit that LA has had some vaguely entertaining games, when I've had time to watch.

New job, moving, and trips take a chunk out of CT time.

The reason you can only find some of LA's games 'vaguely entertaining' is because you're not a 'hockey fan', you're a 'Canucks playoff hockey' fan, as you've admitted in the past. There's no reason to come in here and rain on the parade, especially when you qualify your statement by saying that you aren't even watching it all. Plenty of better-formed opinion than your own is finding great entertainment in these playoffs.

LoL... Kid Charlemagne don't interupt Jd22, he is busy still recalculating the statistics every which way, because the statistical numbers just didn't add up

Just poking fun!

Exciting game again tonight. So the Devils were up 2-0 after the first, and the Rangers promptly tied it up in the second. Would you call that 'draining the life out of the game'? I personally find it to be great hockey.

LOL...spoken like a true Canuck fan!

Habs didn't even make the playoffs, yet I've only missed one or two games. LA have been an absolute juggernaut and the Eastern division has been true back-and-forth excitement.

Now...LA meet New Jersey in the finals. Most of my preliminary predictions weren't even close, but I'm saying LA in 5...maybe six.

I'll admit that I can't call this one at all. I'd like to see Brodeur win one last Cup. Either way, I hope it goes 7 games just for the entertainment value.

Chronic Underachievers ...... Vancouver Canucks

Canucks ... "We gave it our best, it was a good season .... we'll be better next season"
After 40 years of listening to the excuses, you have to ask yourself ... "who really cares?"

Difference between a winner and a loser:
Loser: "We gave it our best, blah blah blah ....." endlessly.
Winner: Glances at the trophy, shrugs his shoulders, then goes home and boff's the 'prom queen'....

Go Canucks Go

Looks like LA Kings have a better track record now than Vancouver Canucks.
