Karl, I've added our route in pink. We took the low road to the major creek then went up on the left side of it, crossed the next road up, traversed above it over to the forest and then saw the flagging (newer pink and some old orange). The creek was within hearing distance most of the time.
Rented Mule, yeah the beer went down well when we all met up further down the road. Even though it was warm beer.
Thanks Sabine, Gerry and Vlad for adding some photos and filling in the blanks/details.

Thank you Simon, very much appreciate that. I am hoping depending on weather, access, and partners to get up there as well. Might be weekend after next, or later on in August.

| Gotta appreciate guys who do chainsaw work like that, and it's not the first time Gerry has cut logs in Center Creek from what I hear. At the end of the day Lindeman was a success, now people know what to expect. (If they choose to follow) |

Great report. Excellent work clearing the road for future hikers.
Still have unfinished business in that area after the weather turned on us two years ago when we attempted Lindeman ourselves, coming up via Hanging and Upper Hanging Lake though. |

Way to go "A" team.
Why didn't you just take the easy lake approach through the notch of despair...hahaha |

The overland route from Radium Lake and MacDonald would be the most appealing route. If people get back in Centre Creek and brush it out then that would be the fastest. I can't comment on Hanging Lake or the notch of despair . Still aways to go once there to Lindeman though.
One note, some people have taken the left side of the major creek from Centre Creek and others the right. We took the left, Ted Oliver and Denis the right. Past reports have also indicated the right side (south) of the creek. We eventually crossed over that creek up towards the marschy area.
We didn't check the creek as to how easy it is to cross. Sounded like it was going pretty good when we were there (and a creek further back on the road was a bit tricky to hop over).

Finally, we reached the creek and left the road to go steeply upwards through spindly forest to gain the upper road. The alder on this road was horrific too so we cross and climbed up the embankment into the cut block above and slowly at times made our way across and up it towards mature forest. This area too I found not very enjoyable.
Katie and I made an attempt at the upper lake today. In the last day or 2, someone has continued Gerry and Sabine's branch cutting right to the creek. They left the branches where they fell too (I'm not complaining), and just past the washout a cut branch lodged itself in the rear deraileur (sp?) and the hanger broke. Otherwise, I could have ridden much further; perhaps right to the creek. Anyway, not knowing what to expect on the descent with a broken bike, I shortened our turn-around time. We hiked 15-20 min. above the upper road and turned around. Surprised to see somewhat of a footbed between the 2 roads. Some fresh pink flagging too.

We were back in there 2 days ago. Gerry and his chainsaw along with a group of us finished the road and flagged a rough route up to the forest above the last cut block. Peaks were visited too. TR coming soon.
