I'm surprised I was able to get anything, considering this was from my bedroom window! Can't wait to see what everyone else captured.

Well. To put it bluntly, conditions were terrible. I drove out to Pitt Lake - the whole way there I could see dancing green aurora from over burke to nearly golden ears. As soon as I park my car, clouds roll in, fog rolls in. So all my photos are through a thin veil of cloud. I might post some later today but I need to get a bit of sleep first, I think.

Edit: Okay a quick one before I go to sleep: this was a test shot I took from my front porch, to see if there was photographable aurora. I was stoked on seeing this - imagining what it would be like away from light.

Pitt Lake. Glorious show while driving out there, but as soon as I arrived clouds rolled in and proceeded to get thicker. Very disappointing - but an excellent experience at least getting there. Too, the marshes were full of mysterious splashing which was fun to try to audibly figure out what was causing it.

Should be some aurora visible tonight.

Might be best bet as soon as its fully dark, the more intensive aurora is leaning towards SW BC now. It was more towards Quebec a few hours ago.

We had an amazing show while climbing the north ridge of Mt. Baker early AM on the 15th. Was incredible to see it along with uninterrupted stars, the Milky Way, and a distant thunderstorm lower down. Couldn't have asked for a better night sky to climb under.

There was a very vivid burst shortly after sundown yesterday, enough to silhouette houses to the naked eye in Poco. Very pretty.
