| You should be able to simply rotate heel piece with pole, click boot in and go, all without taking skis off. |

I don't think you can rotate the radical heel pieces with a pole - or at least that doesn't appear to be what they intended when they designed it. You can do it with your hands without taking off the skis (depending on your flexibility.) I can get one done but then once it is locked in, I can't get to the other one. |

that would too bad if you coudln't lock the heals in from tour mode. my verticals you can spin with pole and lock in. and i do use that. i've only had my towers rotate a couple times while skinning.
I'd probably rather have the odd bad rotate, and be able to lock in from tour mode with skins on, then no rotate by mistake or by me. |

| Yeah, that's too bad. I have the TLT's and you can strip skins, lock in and go, all without taking off your skis or bending over. |

Now that I'm fully comfortable with the Dynafits in ski mode, I got some skinning in the other day - just an afternoon of yo-yoing Hollyburn. I can't believe the difference compared to the Fritschis in uphill mode. It was like being on telemark skis again. The stride was so comfortable I didn't use the heel lifters on the first ascent, whereas on the Fritschis I'd constantly be raising and lowering them according to the terrain. Did test out the lifters afterwards and they worked superbly. Either of them can be raised with a quick flick of the pole basket. I'm past putting skins on and off with the skis still on my feet, so that limitation didn't bother me, but I had to pay attention to rotating the tower back to ski mode at the top, before dropping the ski after taking the skin off. Otherwise the thing could go sailing away since the brake isn't activated. Surprisingly after all the stories I've heard, getting in and out of the bindings has been a breeze. I believe there's some feature of the Radicals that has made it easier to locate your toe. |
