BTW cambum, your fantastic "post at 9:51", doesn't remotely have anything to do with anything I've ever said.
It doesn't talk about bear numbers or anything. You call it proof, proof of what? That the bear population isn't in danger and never will be? No it doesn't. lol. Not remotely. Doesn't have anything to do with it at all.

Might even go add a bear-tag to my license and claim some food, been a while a few years, knives are sharp, will teach my children another skill, awesome sausage and pressure cooker chili with pineapple, great ground-round and hamburger deluxe, no fat content in the spring.Just dress up in green and stuff many grasses in my camflauge clothing and paint my face well.Point blank humane kill. Heart in a skillet with onions.
My cat's very first meal from me was ursa. Then ungulate.Then trout. Truly organic.Hmmm. Got me salivating, may have to call joker & meet up and share a harvest in the cowichan, there is a thought for food. Not a total waste of a thread after all. Yep sleep well tonight. |

I lurked on this forum getting hiking ideas from the trip reports section for maybe 3 years before I ever joined so I know full will this "shite" was well under way thanks to nobs like cambum years before I even posted here and it'll continue long after I stop posting here. It's precisely what kept me from ever joining or sharing my trip photos/reports all that time.
But I'll do you a solid there "no quitting", I'll quit :-). The forum is quite valueless to me now and contrary to what anyone might think I'm not interested in continually peeing in what cambum et.al. consider to be their own private sandbox. So I'll quit and you can watch this "shite" continue long after I'm gone....probably mere minutes after I post this actually :-)

It really is sad though,there being many trip reports that have only got a comment or two and some none at all,while threads like these go to 15 pages. I urge you not to be bullied off the board. You've made many solid, logical points here, and certainly have trumped your opponents in reasoning. That being said, yes, this is part of the reason there are many silent readers...or people who now avoid this place entirely....it can only change if more people are willing to challenge (with rational reasoning) the rhetoric on this board...yes you will get insulted, and others will attempt to shout you down, but other readers will silently applaud. You provide a much needed counter-voice....and it will often represent the silent majority.
If though you are smart enough to just leave....I can't argue with that! |
