My wife and I would like to get away this weekend but we haven't done any camping in non-designated campsites. We're hoping for somewhere with-in 4-5 hours drive of chilliwack and with easy to moderate hiking opportunities. Dog friendly would be good but not necessary. Any ideas?

If your car is a 4x4 I would suggest Cabin Lake on Mt. Stoyoma SW of Merritt.

Bluey lake is good too, but can be a bit wild, never tried the south side but have heard there is a spot there as well
