We're thinking of heading up this way to camp and hike for the Canada Day long weekend.Does anyone know if there's camping areas and whether this place is a zoo on long weekends like the chilliwack river valley?

I don't know if you can even drive up there right now. There is an IPP development at the mouth, but I'm not sure what all they have done with the road through the canyon.

We have been up there several times this year, and as far as I know, the road must be kept open to the public.

Thanks for your replies. We've decided to head to Wells Gray for the long week-end. We'll have to check out Kwoiek another time.

Frank, how far up is the IPP going to go? Any chance the bridges before Kha/Klept and John George lakes will get fixed? what about N kwoiek creek road?

Hi Benoit,
I am not sure about the IPP in the main Kwoiek, but I assessed basically a portion of every road in both the North and main Kwoiek drainages for the MoF in mid 2010, and all were heli access. This was from beyond John George Lake in the main, and basically right from the turn off on the North system. Bears were unreal in the north valley!
At that time, there was no plan to open the north system from an industrial use perspective.
