Whether you're recovering from your weekend adventures or training for the next one, or both: June 5th: Coquitlam Crunch
Weather doesn't look super hopeful for this Tuesday, so this is a good choice to still get in a workout. Yep, it's a gravel trail under the powerlines. Some steep and loose rock in places.
Stats- about 5 km return and 280 m elevation change. Should take no more than 1.5 hrs.
Meeting @ 6:30pm at Eagle Ridge park, 2600 Runnel Dr. Coquitlam (parallel to Barnet Hwy, between Falcon and Landsdowne, behind the Tim Hortons)

| Darn! I'm out on my first camping trip of the year that night. Next time for sure, that hike is in my neck of the woods. |

Meadowrue- Welcome!
Fireweed- Hope you have a great trip.
I am hoping to make this a weekly thing with hikes close to town that have some elevation change and take about 2 hours.

Was a good hike last week: great company and the food at the Mountain Shadow did not disappoint!
With the long weekend preceding and the continued dismal weather, I think I'll give tomorrow night a pass and shoot for drier trails next week. |

May 29- Jug Island
Meet @ 6:30 pm at the Belcarra Regional Park picnic shelter. 5.2 km return, should take less than 2 hours. If there's time and interest, can stretch it out a bit by also doing some of the Admirality Point trail. |
