Stu and I planned on snowshoeing to Slesse Memorial but once we got to the creek crossing there appeared to be a lot of unstable snow so we wandered down Nesakwatch FSR to the Rexford trail.

We parked our vehicle about 2 km from the Slesse Trail. Here's some pictures on the way to the wee bridge on Slesse Memorial Trail. There were 4 creeks to cross that were twice as swollen on the way back.

Instead of possibly falling through a snowbridge, we decide to head up Neskawatch FSR and wander up the Rexford trail for a bit.

It was wonderful to visit one of my favourite areas again from another perspective. The mountains look so inviting I wished I was a climber. After 6 hours of snowshoeing in full sun, I look like a toasted raccoon.

Happy trails,
Lynn

Great pictures, Lynn! Scenes like this (almost) make me want to take up snowshoeing.

Looks like it was a nice day out but what's the comment about you wishing you were a climber? I thought you were a climber? Oh, an outdoor climber you mean. :) This summer Lynn!

Some great pictures of a very scenic area, but it's just not a Flowing-Brook TR without a smiling picture of you two. : )

A nice warm spring day was a welcome change! I wish I wore shorts. There is four creeks crossing the road, I hope they don't do to much damage during the melt! Here you can see Lynn watershoeing across one.

The creek crossing looks somewhat hazardous.

I'm sure we'll return soon!
