does anyone have a good source for cheap clif bars in calgary? i've heard costco has them for cheap sometimes (they don't currently). mec is my main source, and they are about 1.50/bar there.

superstore had them by the box a while back (9.50/box of 12), but now they sell them individually.

any input is appreciated.

Hi Mike - yes, only Costco has had them on sale that I have encountered. Next time buy a lot.

Mind you, if they're spelled that way they are likely bogus...

Try REI in the states. they might ship to calgary. Unsure of shipping policy on that sorta stuff across the border.

This morning I discovered that the local Wal-Mart is selling boxes of 6 Clif Bars for $7.00 each (after I stocked up on them last night at MEC @ $1.40 a bar, of course); not sure if this is something new (or even something that all Wal-Marts are doing), but this is the first time I've seen them in town....

I've been buying these from Costco. They come in an assorted package, but I can't remember the price. They only have three falvours in the assorted box; Chocolate Chip, Crunchy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Almond Fudge. The Chocolate Almond Fudge is the best.

Keep in touch with your local Groupon, swarmjam etc. I purchased the $50 running room Groupon for $25. (I should have bought more). I'll be loading up on shotBlox, bars, etc

Look for coupons some retail stores issue. Sometimes they contain Clif Bar coupons(2 for 1). In Vancouver I got this coupon combined with sales time of Londondrugs or Choices to buy 50cents each of different kinds without buying same flavor for bulk at a time.

Wow, those are the three I buy! This NEVER happens with 'assorted' packages!!!!!

Grocery Outlet in the US sells them from .59 to .69 a piece, individually. By the box generally is around .50/bar. REI is not cheaper than SuperStore or the like.

I usually buy Cliff Bars at costco when they're on sale, but my wife likes Gensoy bars (also at costco) so thats what I have most of the time.

Last summer, she took a pic of me eating one at Crowfoot Pass and emailed them saying something along the lines of "thanks for making a protein bar that doesn't taste like sawdust". Apparently they thought it was funny and asked permission to use the pics. The results... coupons for free box of bars and this:http://www.genisoy.com/ (top right corner..she just noticed this last week)

Just quick FYI folks - grabbed couple boxes at Superstore at 50% discount, it's been discontinued.
