offended or not, bottom line is the reader can choose whether or not to come back to something they find offensive
Now a couple others didn't get to see what was funny
Oh well

I thought it was absolutely halerious... the only thing i thought that would have been funier would be a giant hand with a certain 'median' finger rasied.... But i digress.... It was funny, i think some folks aught to take life a little more light heartedly

Hey ..thanks guys! Maybe I am not a pervert after all.
I have looked at the comments in the threads about various "essentials of life", and techniques for keeping up morale when hiking in awful conditions etc.. I have always found that a whacky sense of humour will see you through some of the worst things that can come your way in hiking ...or in life, which can throw some bad bits your way at times. By "whacky", I mean an ability to chuckle at the absurd ...the incongruous ... a la Monty Python and others. For example, after 11 days of paddling down the Teslin River in the rain, three families with 6 tired and cranky kids/teenagers, there is nothing like a silly song (Flanders and Swan: "I'm an introverted elephocentric hypochondriac..." but I date myself) to raise the spirits. Or perhaps "Do you have any camembert, my good man? I'm afraid it's a bit runny." etc.
Herewith, by popular demand, is the (offensive to some) photo of my son with his snow sculpture. Proud to have been raised on Monty Python, the lad turned 18 on Saturday, so no need to censor for his sake.

..and by the way, PF will be happy to hear that the actual sculpture is rapidly shrinking in the rain.

We cannot please everyone unfortunately ... such is life! There are far worst things floating around on the internet than an odly shaped snow sculpture

It's a bit of an oxymoron. Isn't it supposed to shrink in the cold?

Peter; I'm sure no one wishes to offend you. A few pictures that a number of people find funny are the least of my concerns. This site has a watchdog ( Longshadow).
You DO have the option of not viewing this posting. Please put things into perspective. Attendance in churches over the world is dropping, South Africa is a mess yet the whole world is helping out with disaster relief on Asia..... ever listen to the words in rap music that our kids listen to? Satanism has seen a huge growth in recent years through out the world. Vancouver's lower mainland has a real homeless problem that grows every year , yet the only time people think of them is at Christmas.
This is just the tip of the iceberg so I suggest you relax a tad.
Not that you are but, I have known several " Born Agains" that claimed to lead very pious lives. Well I have to tell you my ex father-in-law ( a Lutheran Minister) would turn over in his grave at some of the things they had done under the guise of religion. Sometimes we have to "turn the other cheek " and worry about the bigger picture. You know- how you treat your wife & kids, the bum that lives under the bridge just outside of town , where the funds from your church are going, how you treat your co-workers when they tick you off, what you pass on to your students before they go into the big world.
Spend less time being offended and try to do one good deed a day. Note they will only count if no one finds out about it. My 2 cents.

The "sculpture" started as a "lighthouse".....then an evolution began. No creationism at our house.
