Someone mentioned 'personal altitude records' in another thread - which begs my question - what is the highest elevation that you've reached? Or what is the highest summit that you've reached?

I'll start off the brag fest...I couldn't descend down to the low notch on Welch's east ridge before the final summit ascent, and turned around. Maybe 2200 m? Other than that, Cheam remains my highest summit, 2112 m.

5000m, Salkantay Pass (Peru). Actually, the pass is at 4950m, but we scrambled a bit up the ridge until the GPS showed 5K.

8,000ft Mt.Outram

An hour late, a dollar short, but not too fat to fly.
Clairebear and I bombed up the trail and caught up with our crew on their lunch break just before the scree. We only stopped for water (packing 5L), views, and collected some seeds on the way.
On the way down tho. Well mind over body, right?

My high point is about 5047m on Mt. Elbrus, with my highest summit being White Mountain Peak (east of Whitney-a worthwhile day side trip, Hodgeman) at 4342m. Presently planning an attempt on a South American scree jungle/ err, I mean mountain for next winter. Probably Ojos del Salado or Pissis (both around 6900m).

I haven't been climbing outside of BC/AB and the Lower 48. My high point is Mt Whitney, 14,497, or something like 4,700 metres.
