I know that some people (That will remain nameless, right honey?) have been known to lurk on this site to gain some ideas for Fathers Day, birthdays, ect. Being a dad of four I feel somewhat obligated to 'help them out'. (I never knew what to get my Dad and still don't.) I found this little baby (waterproof, $37.00 cdn, Granville-1 block south of Broadway).
Any other ideas???

I just bought my dad a pair of Sealskinz waterproof socks. I have a set and like them. Cost me about 40 bucks Canadian.

For the ultimate, lightweight & compact monocular check this thread:

My dad picked me one up in Germany. While the magnification is modest, the optics are so good you can pick out amazing detail. I don't know if you can find one in Canada (and if you can the price will be more than $37) but I guarantee it is the gift that keeps on giving!

Great purchase, Hotelseven. Sealskinz socks saved my @$$ on the WCT.

Ya I love them. I'm thinking of getting a pair of the gloves for paddling in the spring / fall. Not sure how well they would be for paddling but they sound pretty good.

I bought my dad a t-shirt with a donkey on it and a clever phrase that's not suitable for mixed company.
But I just (yesterday) bought him a TNF daypack. If you'll head over to Trail Talk, I'll tell you why.
