Incredible. Just watched your slide show and fell into a trance. I did the Bowron Lakes back in September of 2001. You just brought back some great memories. It looks like you stayed in the same camp sites as us. Good choices. We only saw one moose the whole trip and no other wildlife except fish. I remember waking up on tuesday morning on Sept. 11/01 at about 7am and enjoying the scenery around me and how peaceful I felt. Little did I know what was going on in the rest of the world. At least I can still remember that day and reflect on the positive.

loved the pictures Coaster! I especially like the picture of the moose in the water, with your friend in the canoe just to the right in the picture. And in the next picture, she appears rather concerned (too close to the moose?)
cheers ! C Wall

| I was charged by a moose on the Bowrun when I got too close trying to take a pic, nearly cost me my camera too cause I was in waist deep water at the time. Scary moment for me, now I keep my distance. |

Wow! Nice pics! I especially like the first one with the rainbow. Took my breath away.
I'm simply amazed at the amount of moose in that place! I should go there one of these weeks.

Hi, quote: How many days were you on the route?
We were on the lakes for 8 days....could've spent another 8. quote: Which campsites would you recommend?
I've stayed at 7 different sites...and not really been disappointed with any of them. Some are better for getting more light than others, but all were private, well equipped, and of course lakeside.
My personal favourites are #54 (right where Swan lake drians into the estuary) ....tons of wildlife....moose in our campsite...birds, loons galore. and #45 (on Spectacle lake)...it's way out on a 60ft pier in the middle of the lake....water on both sides....awesome....a little "out in the elements" if the wind picks up though it's a small price to pay. Highly recommended trip though....first rate park. Almost a religeous experience. |

Good eye... She is still telling people about the time we got "too" close. Have to remember she was in the front of the canoe. The thing is, we came fairly close to a lot of moose, (and a lot of moose came close to us),....but at the first sign of discomfort or uneasiness, we were out of there. But that day we were heading back to the site after a long day trip, and we had to go through this channel that was blocked by a big bull moose...and when we got close he didn't seem to care and even came closer as he dove for food...anyways..it took about 40 minutes to persuade him out of the channel so we could get by.
Sorry to ramble on....I'm still fired up from the trip. |

| We were there a few years ago and had 7 beautiful sunny days in September but not one animal sighting. We also highly recommend this canoe curcuit. The moose shots are great! We came across a few while paddling Murtle Lake last June, but nothing quite this close up. |

This trip just jumped up a couple of notches on my list... The moose looks familiar... was it the same moose in every picture?

Beautiful Pictures. Must of been a little disconcerning being so close to such huge animal. Although it doesn't seem like the moose minded your company at all. Your scene shots are great!!! |

| Returned from Bowron today. Mother and calves are still at Unna Lake and still walking through camp. Coaster, if you happened to drop into Beckers, he had a big fire that took out his generator and work shed. Almost burned more but was lucky no wind. |
