vpix was asking the same about bus access hikes. I think he found the book that I was thinking of. http://www.clubtread.com/sforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6030
Grind in 1 hour is great. well, it's what I had the past 2 times. 1:03 and 1:01 =P
Mon-Thurs..no can do for me. I'm a weekend warrior. I might have a week off in June, keep an eye out on the sign up boards for other bus takers or carpools.

The Lynn Canyon conservation area is a good place to get to by transit. A plethora of hikes of varying difficulty.
I got these directions from another website: From Vancouver, take the Sea Bus to Lonsdale Quay. From the Lonsdale Quay bus loop take the #228 or the #229 bus. The #228 stops along Lynn Valley Road. The #229 stops at the corner of Peters Road and Duval Road, a 2 minute walk from the park entrance. Alternatively, if you are coming over the Second Narrows Bridge from Vancouver, take the #229 bus from the Phibbs Exchange bus loop in North Vancouver.

The # 210 Upper Lynn Valley Bus leaves from across the street from Burrard Skytrain on Dunsmuir and goes all the way to the top of Mountain Highway. From there you can access the back road of Grouse. Near the start of the road you can access the Baden Powell Trail. Or you could walk all the way to the top of Grouse.
If you want something easy, you can take a bus to Lighthouse Park. There are also buses that go from Phibbs Exchange along the Seymour Parkway all the way to Deep Cove. If you get off by the mall where the road goes to Seymour Mountain, you could then walk to the Seymour Park entrance and hike the Old Buck Trail. There are also portions of the Baden Powell Trail on Seymour, too. |

If you are interested in the Diez Vistas on Sunday ( weather permitting ), carpooling can be arranged from Lougheed Skytrain.
See the sign up board for Virgins Do Diez. |
