Nice looking dog Jimbo, I had a black lab, they are terrific companions and very loyal.

Thanks Teeka. Yes, she is a great companion (trail and otherwise) - and getting better all the time. I almost lost her a year ago before she was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. Now she's fine as long as she gets her monthly shot.

Here's a pic of my friends dog Rufus, near Lizzie Lakes.
A most faithful hiking companion.

Here are a few shots of my best buddy, Idaho... As suspected, he's a goof!

Cheers,

A prize winner, this picture is, imho.

Edit: Silly file won't attach...

I had a hiking partner extrodinaire. Went everywhere I did, never complained, even when the going was too much for him in his latter years. Faithful and full of love and completely GOOFY ! All 110lbs of him! We were each other's best buddies.

Sadly...I had to put him down a few years ago, at the age of 14yrs and I still miss him terribly!

This....is Gus!

Best hiking buddy I'll ever know!

THAT is cool, DB! I'm sure you do miss him. It's hard not to become attached to our four-legged friends.

Thanks Jimbo!
I had a black Lab,like Mid but a male. His name was Blue and had to put him down around the same age.
Quite a few years passed until I met Gus and he was a real CHARACTER !
I still get a little 'weepy' thinking about him.
Toughest thing I've ever had to do, was the day I took him to the vets!
Go in with your best pal and come out with nothing but his collar, tears and memories!
I love dogs but I don't think I could ever own another....
I'm sure all dog owners understand. To me, he still lives on, waiting for me.

This is Ginger in the vine maple and alder of super-wet Clark County (SW Washington state).

Best darn bird dog on the planet.
