Aug 4-12
Clayoquot sound & Hot Springs Cove
total distance 155km
Weather:freaking amazing 11-12 some morning fog

park and launch from tofino
Land and camp N side of Vargas lots of large sandy beaches

5th
Paddle close to millar channel, sulphur passage Park, close to Atleo FSR and river.
Secret campsite locals only know ;) and check out hidden water fall

6th
Paddle to Flores Island West
Lunch Riley cove
Land at West Flores Island East of Hot Springs Cove, a number of sandy beaches exist to camp

7th
Paddle to Hot Springs Cove long route around point
Land at HSC dock
Walk to HSpings
Goof around the area, climbing rocks, attempt to get to helicopter pad.
Return to flores camp site

8th
Paddle to HSC secret beach on East side
Follow trail that joins into normal HSC board walk
Enjoy Hot springs
Return to Flores camp site

9th
Paddle to sulphur passage and look for marked camping site. Paddler partners say it sucks and we return to Atleo FSR and river site.

10th
Paddle to WhiteSands beach on Flores Island
Bored paddle 10-15k loop to shot, Leeke, Shag islands return by Kutcous Islets.

11th
Paddle towards Cow Bay
Paddle partners bug out and abandon me (insert long string of 4 letter words)
Enjoy the company of hump back whale in Garrard Group area.
paddle o whaler island have lunch, continue to Vargas island Northern beach to camp.

12th
Paddle to Tofino
Curse for while as its like 3-4 sailing wait and BC Ferries playing games with online ferry ticket sales. Looks like BC ferries is purposefully keeping people on the street rather then waiting in parking lot. As only system shows no sailing wait when in fact its 3-4
Drive home

Sounds like a great trip! Kayaking around Clayoquot sound, paddling with the whales, basking in Hot springs cove. You brought back some sweet memories for me. I did that trip about 15 years ago, with an avid fisherman friend. He caught a fish or a crab for dinner every night! Fresh water was sure hard to find though.

Really looking forward to the full report. We enjoyed a magical trip to the Whaler Islets a couple of years ago, and I want to get back to the area.

some of the better pictures and panos uploaded

As for water I took a MSR 10L and 6L and my hiking bladder 2L. And it actually lasted me the whole trip.
Depending on your location it wasn't hard to find water. But yes you aren't going to find water right at any of the camp sites.
