An old, old friend and I are thinking of a mid-Sept trip to the Beartooth up past Powell River. We've heard that there's a trail to timberline from Powell Lake, but we have no idea where the trail is. I assume it puts you in good position to climb the Tooth the next day?
We both have strong mountaineering, rock climbing, and bush experience, but we are at the age where we'd rather take a trail than thrash through 5000 feet of bush.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. |

| Glenn - I've asked a friend of mine to respond with info for you. He was up Beartooth within the last year. |

| Great; many thanks. This has been on the "tick" list for Dick and me for about 100 years (50 years each....). G |
