Hello!
I'm a french young woman coming to vancouver in August on the 5th for 3 weeks. I'm looking for partner to discover the aera. I plan to be on Vancouver island one week around the 15th.
I'm not well experienced and I'm looking for 4 or 5H of hike, in nice environnement. I'm keen on forests, lakes, mountain, whatever with a nice landscape!
Is anyone participating in hikes I can join ? or interested to show me your nice region ?

Are you coming over strictly to hike, or is it a vacation with a couple hikes in it? |

it's more for a couple of hikes, yes! I don't practise a lot since I live in Paris, but I don't wanna miss the natural landscape around the city... |

All great clubs to meet people that are interested in hiking etc..
And on a off note have met a number of people from other countries visiting will all those three clubs.

Maybe try joining a meetup group? Go to meetup.com and search for hiking groups in and around the areas you will be staying. Most times you can car pool with them also.
There is also wanderung.ca, sign up for their newsletter.
I always find these threads amusing though, they could easily be worded as: "Young woman looking for a complete stranger to take me deep into the woods alone and out of cell reception. Any takers?"  |
