Has anyone been to Widgeon Lake lately? How are the bugs/snow? Lake frozen? Is a bunch of trash exposed?

Thanks in advance.

I was up there today. The snow started just as I a made it over the final hill to the first view point of the lake. I'd say about 15 minutes before the trail ends. It isn't very deep and its mostly in patches.

I didn't see any trash up there but I also didn't see a beach. We hoped along rocks and ice shelves until we found a nice resting area.

The lake isn't frozen and there aren't many bugs down by the shore. However, the way up was pretty terrible.

Water levels in that whole area are really high.
