Having gained few pounds from watching euro football & eating junk food, needed at least some exercise between the games. This uber-popular little hike was one of 1st trails I did after moving to BC. "Apetizer" is the word I like to use to describe it -- it really makes you want to keep going further to Tricouni or Cloudburst. However couple of things work in favor: It is short enough when time is limited, there is option for loop hike and first part is quite entertaining with all easy bluff scrambling. Route overview:

Took me about 4 hours to complete the loop. Since last time I was here ropes and chains seem to have multiplied exponentially; they are not really needed, but do provide additional security if coming down the same way. There is also BR200 shortcut right after the trail plunges into old growth beyond open platform / last viewpoint. Coming down I noticed few "holes" in roadbed which were marked by cairns -- for anyone planning driving up this way. Weather was overcast so photos are not so good:

1. Squamish Valley from 1st Viewpoint
2. Pretty section of Trail "cut" into the moss on top of rock
3. Gorgeous forest hiking higher up
4. Rare endemic plants upon toping at BR200

The bench I remembered upon exiting on FSR is gone; so I did not linger long & walked back down. Some peak shots that give an idea of snow level (please correct if I wrongly identified something):

1. Cloudburst
2. Buck
3. Ossa & Pelion
4. Sigurd. Seems snowshoes will be needed for awhile. If someone is interested in teaming up for this later on this summer, let me know

Those flowers add a real nice touch to this hike. It seems these shotgun folks think it's their God given right to leave their shells everywhere rather than picking them up. This crap seems to pass on with the generations.

There was also a fire pit, with all kinds of garbage in it (beer cans etc). This was 5 mins down BR200 from the trail exit point. There used to be nice bench here, perfect for lunch break but now that is gone as well.

I forgot to mention -- skitters are out; got bitten couple of times along the trail.

Lazy shooters cannot be bothered to take refuse plastic back with them.

Looks like a pleasant place well worth exploring.

I found it was easier to just hike out the shells as we all know the shooters are going to do it.
