It started out wonderful...Monday with blue skies, a nice little walk onto Llama then onto Alpaca in order to do some climbing* or as my Swiss alpine guide friend says "whatever you call it this time of year" on Alpaca...Then...cloud, rain, snow...white...Oh well, lets do it anyway...rather than sit inside the tent and think of things that rhyme with mountain hardware

Though the weather was awful, the snow climbing was fun...the wet slabs were not fun.

'Surprisingly' the east face had a beautiful route with the snow, making some slabs quite a bit faster in regards to kicking steps in snow rather than 5 pitches of smearing on rock...

Honestly though, through the years of playing around on these peaks, this time of year it is hard to tell what your on... it was a mash up of routes and trying to recognize features under the snow in zero vis, the routes we took in the two days of trying to remain sane in crap weather, just came down to doing laps for cardio...Climbed the chimney between Llama and Alpaca, probably better described as 30m chute...just before the top, there a was a nice cornice over us...what the hell, lets just climb it direct, who cares...maybe it will come down and add some excitement to this cloud party.

Overall, nothing like riding an Alpaca 3 times in a row and a Llama 4 times, from all different directions...But this time I brought the army to recover the Stargate we found under the Northeast Ridge.

Ambigous TR, kinda like our weather.
