That is big destruction, not quite on the scale of Skwellepel creek though! Did you find some good snow? Does your dog have avalanch training?

I don't see any stumps. I'm going to guess avalanche not logging. Paul where were you?

Yeah, Skwellepel can get ugly. Are you saying there was something recent in the last couple of years?

Fresh snow above 4000 feet, which was avalanching in the sun.

? that mountain in the background looks vaguely like Cloudburst...but then again it could Zig Zag / Buck as Simon suggests.

Yes - the avalanche paths on Buck are quite distinct. Plus the summit way in the background is Tricouni. And we all know that Paul loves ski trips to Pokosha Creek.

Nice shots, a lot of slide destruction there of the trees.

Pokosha it is. Slide came off the north side of Sigurd Lake (up the ski route)
