I swung into MEC today and picked up this map, which covers most of the Shore's major trails, and some I haven't been on yet. It's published by International Travel Maps of Vancouver.Scale is 1:50,000,1cm=500m,contour intervals 60m with good clear lines too.Shows a wider range too-all of the Howe Sound Crest, most of Indian Arm,Eagle Ridge, and even the upper Capilano River service road network behind the lake.(How I'd love to get up there on my mountain bike-you can see the roads from Strachan,Howe Sound Crest,Crown, etc).Oh yeah,$7.00,and the surface is water repellent. |

map store on West Pender (name escapes me, IMS???) caries a few different ones covering northshore. they have one with a better relief and a higher grade (glossy'r) paper for about two bux more. If i were shopping with real money i would have bought one.
my two bits. |
