Looks like it's from a brontosaurus, or something of similar size.

ROFLMAO... at least it's a bone, not much left on it... Ollie found a dead seagull the other day... I knew he found something because his nose went up, up, higher up, and he made a beeline, then circled... all before I could get to him... and then he rolled on it. Ugh. Luckily it was pretty far gone, and he did not smell as bad as when he found remnants of a fish/seal/not sure... Had to keep the windows down all the way home.
That bone is HUGE! I bet Katie finds more than Ollie, given her breed and their aptitude at sniffing stuff out lol. |

I always tell Katie that the wildlife has already picked clean the bones she finds, but she insists there are little tidbits left. : ) She loves WR beach...lots of munchies to be found there, as well as the rotting whatever they like to roll in. Do you know what is up with that? I figure it's an instinct to make themselves unappealing to predators. |

oh I have had them roll in dead salmon, squish in the fur treatment, then have to drive in a small car for 2 hours. dang..yuck.
Believe it or not, Gin cracked this bone and devoured the whole thing bit by bit in less than a week, part time in the evenings |

That is a plenty powerful set of jaws. Good to have a friend like that.

Ya, makes them smell purdy and attrack them big strong males. Males roll in it for dominance. THe more smell the more success they are as hunters so there fore more dominant. Not cat-nip but dog-nip. |

Back end of a juvenile skunk (centre left), midnight last night, TB trail near the handline. Dog-owners, beware. |
