Huh? Please check your grammar before you post your message.

Are you asking if anyone knows of a good car co-op or rental place?

I've seen modo cars parked at a few trail heads this winter for overnight trips.

Modo, Zip, Car2Go car sharing vehicles are not insured for backroads, so you'll pay for any mishap out of your own pocket.

It's pretty clear that the person is asking about co-ops. He said co-op, not rental. Also realize that english is not every ones first language.

It's pretty clear in his 3rd post that it's "car co-op OR rental"

As already mentioned, co-op cars are not insured for unmaintained roads eg. logging roads. We have used both rental cars and co-op (modo) cars for trips. The decision comes down to where we're going and what conditions we're expecting. If it's just driving to a 2wd accessible trailhead, we'll take a rental, because that's normally cheaper than modo if you're covering any kind of distance. Modo has a great trip cost calculator which will tell you whether it's cheaper to rent or to get a modo car. you get further discounts on rental from enterprise and thrifty with your modo membership.

http://www.modo.coop/calculator/trip

If you need a larger car or winter tyres, modo might be the best option, because car rental with those features is expensive. So the decision you make comes down to these factors:
1. Is the road maintained? If not, avoid co-op.
2. How far am I travelling? If you can get by with a smaller 2WD car, renting is probably cheaper (although in the height of summer, rentals go up and modo costs stay the same).
3. Do I need special car features that would increase rental price? If yes, check whether you're better off with modo.

There are plenty of people for whom English is a first language yet who have only tenuous acquaintances with the nuances of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

You're right. Welcome to Canada, there are two official languages protected by the constitution. Learn one of them, and go where it is commonly used.

yes insurance is another $30 / day

however liability insurance (the kind that every vehicle on the road should have) is included in the $30/day rental

additional insurance is for if the car get broken into, or if you bump into another car in the parking lot, Im not paying $30 / day for that, Ill take my chances

Usually if you get into an accident and you're at fault, you have to pay for the damage out of pocket if you don't get the collision insurance. A small fender bender in a parking lot can cost thousands of dollars; replacing the whole car can cost much more obviously!

They offer it as an option since some people (e.g. if you have the roadstar package) are already covered for rental vehicles.

I can't see a $30/day rental fee covering collision. You'd better double check before you rent.

You should carefully check the fine print before you take any rental car off pavement.

Then Dru said:

And then "Farmer" (yep your webname certainly fits the bill this time) follows up with redneck statement of the year:

Shit guys, SK101 is right. This is getting pretty damn bigoted for a simple question. Ah yeah Dru, generally I'm notorious for grammar and typos after a couple of IPAs and a rough shift at work. To summarize, in appr 2006/07 I responded to a TR about bear issues thinking it was entirely a spoof because of the grammar and the theatrics within the context. But it turns out it was real. Boy did I feel like shit and rightfully so. So you never know.

Bottom line is CT should not be a forum which suggests that it is controlled and moderated by academics who feel their intelligence level surpasses anything on the face of the earth.
Arrogance = Ignorance and results in rejection and isolation.

Harry, a friend of mine is happy with CarToGo. bon chance mon amis
