Offtopic, but does anyone know any sites on the internet that are streaming this year's Giro (video or audio)? I don't have a TV, and I want to watch Ryder win it all on Sunday in the TT...
And wow what a performance today! 17 seconds down? As long as he doesn't lose any time in the final mountain stage tomorrow, he can easily make that up Sunday!

Go here - http://www.steephill.tv/giro-d-italia/#live
Click on the video links from Rai Sport 2. It is live and with Italian commentary - good atmosphere :)
Don't click much on other links in that table, some are virus attack links. Overall, I use SteepHill.Tv to watch any cycling live.
All Grand Tours stages usually finish at around 5pm Euro Time (Paris, Milan), so it is 8am PST here. If you want to catch the biggest battles you need to start watching at around 7-7.15am.
Happy rooting, the more of us the better :))

Amazing :))
I think more than anything else this shows that it is possible to win clean in cycling. Looking at the overall standings, gaps on stages, big names vs newer guys, and attacks on the mountains show that the playing field is much more leveled. They might be super-humans but humans ;)

Not that the playing field is completely level yet. Anyone else notice how the Italian Pinotti, who won today's time trial, was drafting a motorbike that conveniently stayed close enough to him to make a difference? I didn't see the same thing happen for any of the other riders.
As I watched this, but without thinking that Rodriguez isn't Italian, I feared this would be done to give Rodriguez the win. Sure enough, the motorbike stayed far ahead of Hesjedal. But of course Rodriguez isn't Italian, so by the time I realized that, it wasn't a surprise that moto-pacing wasn't provided for Rodriguez either.
Moto-pacing with a motorbike could easily have cost Hesjedal the victory. The margin was only 16 seconds, while Pinotti won the tt by 24 seconds or so. And Italians like to win their grand tour. Phew.
