This has to do with the other thread I started...

My guess is that this photo was taken on Welch Peak (Google-Earth more or less confirms this) looking south.
The young man's family member is looking to confirm this.

I'd take a couple photos over to Vedder Mountain Field Supply and show the owner (The old guy). He knows a lot of hikers. It somewhat actually looks like him however can't tell under the blue spraypaint lol.

Unfortunately the old Vedder Mountain Field Supply was found to be shut down early this year, think they went out of business. And a few odds and ends littering the floor inside.

Hans "The old guy" I believe is now in Ontario and had a number of health issues. My initial guess was 2nd peak along the Elk/Thurston ridge as it looks to be fairly close to the Chwk River Valley.

You can see Ford in the background, but the angle is a bit different than on Welch. Possibly it's Still or Stewart. Central Cheam Range anyways.

Yeah, Welch or near the col between Welch and Foley. In the 2nd shot the top right corner lines up the AmCan Border Peaks pretty close to the 1st shot. 2nd shot is taken at around 2000m el. straight up from Williamson Lake.
