Hi all. I'm curious about The Mountain School's Wilderness Survival Course.

Has anyone taken it? Looking for reviews, affirmations that it's worth the time and money, etc.

I would say that if you're not comfortable trying it on your own or with friends, then it is worth the money. But with a little bit of research and reading, and the items on the equipment list in your link, you should be able to spend a very comfortable night out in the bush. I'm usually very 'pro-guide' and think it's almost always an excellent return on investment, but spending a night in the bush with a sil-tarp and fire making equipment is pretty basic stuff.

Good point. I'm quite comfortable in the woods and carry almost all that gear in my day-hiking pack anyway. Maybe I should just practice with my gear and Wiseman's SAS book.
