Does anyone know of any places around Vancouver that top up propane bottles? I have a 20lb bottle that I want topped up. It's a scam to pay for a full tank if I only need 1/4.

Lots of places. Any 7-11 with a gas station attached will do it.

Although most places are going for the trade-a-tank scheme now, you should be fine with a 7-11. Our local ones here do it.

Unless you know the proprietor of the station and you can convince him, good luck getting a bottle topped-up. The people that work at the stations only know how to fill a tank based on weight, not top it it up.

Mowhawk and Husky are also good choices.

Non busy times (not long weekends and weekends) most places that charge full price will cut you a break if you ask before hand.

I find Co-op stations are generally cheaper. Might help to phone around.
