My wife and I zipped up to Evans Peak on Sunday. Not much to tell. I was up there last July and the trail seems in slightly better shape now and and actually has a sign now where it leaves the lookout trail. However, the point at which the lookout trail leaves the West Canyon trail is no longer signed, so make sure you don't miss it.

The views were awesome and for the first time on a summit I had a proper camera with a good zoom lens. We don't have a good camera bag so the Canon was stuffed away in my pack for the whole hike and we only took it out at the summit.

Taking in the views:

The views:

1. Blanchard Needle and Edge
2. The north ridge of Evans with Judge Howay and Robie Reid
3. The Judge and Robie Reid
4. Mt. Crickmer just across Alouette Lake to the east

1. Mt. Crickmer
2. Mt. Baker
3. Mt. Shuksan
4. Canadian and American Border Peaks, Larrabee, and Tomyhoi

1. Slesse et al
2. Another zoom of Crickmer (I was just there in June so I wanted a couple good shots of the summit area)
3. Isolillock and Grant (I think Outram is just visible, too)
4. Robie Reid

1. Judge Howay
2. The Defendant and Robertson
3. Zoom of Robertson
4. Clarke, Recourse, and Viennese

Great TR, lots of beautiful shots. Have been up there a few times, and it does offer a great vantage point. You timed it perfectly with the great weather and clear skies.

Looks like you got better views than I've ever had on Evans

That's a really nice photo of Robie Reid, you can see the true length of the final ridge to the summit block. I remember being surprised by it.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, the timing was excellent. We started the hike at 3pm, so by the time we were up there, the sun was behind us for most of those shots.

I agree, Kelly! It's awesome when my wife and I can get out there together and I'm not simply saying "It was sweet! Wish you could have seen it!"

Ben, I still haven't gotten up to Robie Reid yet, but it's definitely on the list! I can see what you mean about that ridge to the summit. However, you'd sure get to enjoy some nice views while you made your way across!

Cool! It was nice to run into you!

I'd love to see a TR with some pics of your trip... It sounded pretty epic!

Just checked it out. It definitely was epic!

So that's what it looks like up there! Did a solo hike up there yesterday but was totally clouded over, as expected... was itching for a hike anyways so still got the workout in (and it definitely was a good one). Snow was hard pack, no need for snowshoes... Good work with the peak names, always like a little 'higher' education
