Relatively quick arrests following the break-in reports. This underlines the importance of reporting all break-in's, acts of vandalism, and suspicious activity at trail head parking lots, as they do sometimes catch the bad guys.
Don't worry- our court system will ensure that they get out on bail within a day or two and then, if they are in fact convicted, they'll serve a minimum sentence, or maybe no jail time at all. Getting caught becomes part of the cost of doing business- but doesn't do anything to reimburse victims or encourage the thieves to change their ways.
