Was thinking of snowshoeing Mount Cheam on Saturday as the forecast looks very promising! Has anyone been up recently? How close can you get to the parking lot?

Look out for solar-affect slides in the afternoon.... note slide paths burying snowmobile tracks in this pic from Sunday

With a 4x4, one could drive to the 1000m level of Airplane FSR on Sunday.

Just out of curiosity, isn't there signs for non-motorized vehicles up there? Not that the signs would stop them even if there was... At the trailhead I thought there was signs, although they can likely get around that easy enough with another route.

Dont think it applies to sledders as long as they dont break through the snowpack and dig up ground/trees/vegetation
