I am setting up for two trips this coming 2 weekends:

(1) We did Zoa Mountain, a moderate snowshoe (May 6)

(2) Enjoyed Archibald with Lynn & Stu (May 19)

(3 ) Anyone for ?No-Name Peak (Mt. Borden).... one of Wally's favourite spots.(Thining May 26-27) ** or a trip to Iago/Bear to snowshoe (spike) up and do the long ridge past the overlook above the snowshed.

(4) For Sunday (June 3); Mount McGuire NW to SE Ridge to Summit ?(Weather dependent).

.

Here is a photo from the summit of Mt. Borden (No-Name).. this promises to be one of those long haul trips 16 to 18 km round trip from bottom to top.

Your Mt. Borden looks alot like Spencer Peak. Great destination either way.

Yes, it looks like Spencer. Just north of Spencer Ridge.

Was up here on Nov.13, west side of McGuire... hoping to get back up there..

Karl, Katie and I will join you on the Borden explorations. Looks like Saturday will be the day to do it, weather wise.
Let us know of meeting time and place, and if anyone on the hike does not take kindly to dogs along.

Wally, can you put your GPS track onto a topo map, like RamblingBull does?

Super... look forward to seeing you on the trail. Wally gave me a copy of his gps track, and can lay it out on google earth image. I have been up that way about 4 or 5 years ago.

Is "Mt Borden" east of Spencer peak?

While on the subject; why hasn't anyone named the peak northeast of Elk?

Whose job is it? A 1400 metre peak should have a name. Can I name it?

Good to know you will have the track on your GPS, Karl. I like to have something on me too, and prefer the track on a topo, instead of on a GE image. Don't worry about it though...I will figure something out. : )

If my ankle isn't still giving me trouble; you might see me up there. John the route is pretty straightforward, mostly old FSR. Take a look on GE and it will present itself

Rainy and I would like to join you guys. Will beam down to the Vedder Bridge around 7:55am. Is that the Rotary trailhead or the old restaurant parking lot on the South side?

I will answer that for Karl since he not back from work yet.

That is the one we usually use which is the NW corner by the bridge going to Cultus Lake from Sardis.

Thanks Wally, was wondering where Karl was. If John's talking about Krista, she's already beat up Rainy once at the Elk Mountain trail, I think that would make her the leader of the pack
