Made for a sweet day to take photos.

The low ceiling just held and hovered in just the right way and the light was ever changing with quick sucker holes appearing than disapearing fast. You could tell the next system was coming in but it wasn't in too much of a hurry.

Lovin' the cornices. Pretty big snowpack up there this year; I could easily touch the tops of trees that would tower over me in the snow-less months.

Happy Dog!

Nice photos Jen.
I was up there a couple weeks ago too and found it interesting how wind whipped that snow was...such a great sculptor...
Great shapes..

Cheers,
Kelly

Oh I should clarify; this was on the 28th.

It was a good day to visit the ridge again. I thought it was odd that we had the place pretty much to ourselves but hey, not complaining!

Thanks exy - those cornices are looking pretty droopy and scary. I think I'll have to pack the skis away

Nice trip, but it's weird how much those cornices have grown at this time of year.

Nice pictures, Jen!
Beautiful, rugged country. I like the scattered sun. A glow here a dark spot there...
I can't wait til it gets too hot in my desert so I can head up over 7,000 ft. and explore some forested areas. Sweet doggie!! I wish I had a trail dog. My weenie dawg won't do.

It looks like a good chunk of this summer, if not all, will be spent melting all this snow.
