A new cactus that I planted last May for my wife's birthday. She is in full bloom.
My wife even named her Cactus Josephine....too weird...hehe

When we get a frost warning, my wife made me buy a special blankie for her. I would be out there freezing my arse off and covering it up. Then, at lunch time, I would drive home and take the blankie off. She's only ever stabbed me once. I was tasked to remove a fall leaf from her spines because my wife thought it would damage her. I tried really hard to just grab the leaf embedded in the inch long spines but she got me. Shoulda used tongs. But, I felt the need to be challenged. Get the leaf and not get bit...hehe

I'm back out there. So, more desert hikes and scenery coming. Next weekend, I'll be half way up on a place called Starvation Point. So named because.....you'll just have to wait for the TR..
Missed you guys,
cheers! jerry

There is something to be said of the beauty of a flowering cacti, the whole brilliance of life from a plant that is so associated with a desert landscape. Thanks for sharing.
