Anyone wanting to tackle Mount Isaar this coming Sunday? This should be about a medium - grade effort trip starting with hiking and snow-shoeing further up.
Photos from 2006 (Apr.23 ok report) on my last visit:
Cultus Lake and Valley East
 
This is as far as I got last time, snow about three feet deep up to four feet at the far end of road that seemed to have petered out.
 
Recently. 2 weeks ago as viewed from Amadis:

would love to, but for now it's a maybe............ have to see how much i get done in the yard......... wish the weekends weren't so darn short......... but that'll soon change :-)

Paul and I will be leaving Abbotsford around 7:30 a.m. to meet up at the meeting spot about 8 am.

Looking forward to seeing you all:
Bring snowshoes for the upper Ridge to Summit part; otherwise it is a boot walk along the dog.
Microspikes should be easy to bring along, but may not be needed if snow has a softish upper layer.

Looks like you have a good group going Karl. Sorry I'm not going to be able to make it. The weekend is even shorter than I estimated. The yard work has beaten me up, and I wouldn't be able to keep up with the rest of you. I've also been trying to find some time to spend with my nephew. I catch one of your hikes soon though. Have fun out there.
