Thought we would give this one another try after being unsuccessful about this time last year. Last year it was deep snow, snowing and no visibility. This time we could see everything, but I was feeling light-headed and weak, and only made it to that plateau at around 1200m's where you drop down for the creek crossing. Just didn't have it, and Slollicum looked so far away. Plus, it was already very warm (10 am) and the snow was heavy/wet at this elevation. We were worried about how the steep slopes we just came up were going to hold up in the afternoon.

The only picture I took on the way up. Snowshoes went on around 700m. Where you turn off the road onto the actual trail is around 800m.

Scrambling up a steep cross-ditch. : )

Okay Katie, I got my picture, you can go back down now. : )

Balancing act. : )

Katie, come back and do it again! : )

Posing for food. : )

Not posing...in deep thought. : )

A crumbling mountain.

A bit of Slollicum history. : )

Posing, just because. : )

More posing, just because. : )

Sucks to those leaving the garbage behind.

Interesting shots. We all have off-days....so you did well. Probably you might have got very heated on a very warm day.

Good try John and neat pictures of Katie as usual.
Slogging around in that heavy snow burns me right out in no time.
