A quick trip to Tatshenshini-Alsek, which translates directly to 'Tracked-out-by-sleds'. We went in hopes of some decent climbing, but it was way too warm. Our best efforts at anchors were easily cleaned away with the slightest tug in any direction. Snow was soft, ice was non-existent to rotten, and there was plenty of cornice-bomb-avy sign all over the place. We shifted gears to sunbathing and slush skiing, with a strong desire to return with more time and much colder temps.

Yeah, this is about 50km south of Dalton Post.

Fabulous country, probably equal to the Icefields Parkway. I've bicycled the Haines Junction/Haines road twice as part of longer trips. Once in 1975 before it was paved, and again in 1990. Both times I camped overnight just south of here where the old pipeline crosses under the road.

Here's a photo of a picture I have from the 1990 trip. It looks like the same mountain (Three Guardsmen?) as in your first picture.
