Seeking weekday hiking partners (ideally once a week every week or so)
Starting from scratch with 5-6 hr hikes and will work up to 10+ hr hikes by end of July. the goal is to start off relatively easy... and slowly go for longer and steeper hikes.
I'm not particularly fast, or slow (unless it's stupidly steep). Note: I'm on the skiddish side when it gets very steep and you can see a long way down (though working on it).
Drop me an email if you're interested.
My ideal hikes/scrambles (not in any particular order):
Diez Vistas High Falls Creek Tangled Summit Elk/Thurston Golden Ears Elfin/Mamquam (overnight!) Flora Lake Loop Mount Elsay Burke Summit Three Brothers Frosty Mountain Mount Price Tricouni Peak Needle Peak Mount Webb Mount MacFarlane Mount Rohr Mount Marriott Harris Ridge Dickson Peak Locomotive Mountain Face Mountain Tender Mountain Rainbow Mountain Mount Macfarlane Mount Elsay Wedgemount Lake + Mt Weart + Mt Cook Punch Bowl Russett Lake and Fissile Peak Castle Towers Radium + Mt Macdonald Coliseum Ghostpass Lake Panorama Ridge

I usually have thursday and friday off (exept for this week) and am almost always looking to get out. Sounds like we would be traveling at the same speed. Anyways, shoot me a msg if your heading out on one of those days and am looking for a partner Nikki |

| I too have Thursday Friday off and am always looking for a chance to get outside. If those days work, keep me in mind. |

You have a grand list to complete. I am a weekend hiker though, and ready now for the 10 hour trips.

Hi there, I've posted elsewhere, but I'll be on vacation and around midweek in August. But I'll be in Alberta and it may be a bit far for you as it looks like you're in BC. The hikes I was looking to do are around Lake Louise: Fairview Mountain summit. Moraine Lake-Sentinel Pass-Paradise Valley-Annette Lake Any of the summits/ridges above Rockbound Lake.
I'll be available between August 3rd and 9th and the 13th to 17th. Please email me if you're interested in any of these. Ross |

Good luck with your mountain goals Lyda. You have some really nice peaks on there.
When it comes to being skiddish, just get to know the mountain before hand. Read all the TR's on it. Look at it from all aspects on Google Earth, email other hikers about their experience on the mountain.
Fear in the mountains imo comes largely from the unknown. If we get ourselves into something we didn't expect it can wig us out.
Like the saying goes: "plan the climb, climb the plan". It can be applied to any activity in the mountains.
