Looks like super flotation models; but imagine one needs to watch his step more carefully without stepping onto oneself.

I went to a short presentation on the history and evolution of mountain snowshoes last weekend; those look like they come from the 60's or possibly 70's. It was actually a pretty interesting history.

A pair my parents have up on the wall. I don't know anything about them though...

Looks like a smaller version of what we used in the early 80's in the Lillooet area, when we were sampling and collecting cone specimens for the Ministry of Forests.

LOL! Go for a day hike with them and you will be bowlegged afterwards heh. Wouldn't catch me using those.

Standard 'bears paw' style. there were a lot of them around back when the only alternative was the old 'tennis racket' style. Clumsy, and you'd definitely be stretching out your knees and hips, but both types had a pretty good float.
