I just got this a couple of days ago, and have barely been able to put it down. I had been waiting for it to become available ever since the Fall. It is better than I imagined.
Part route guidebook, part climbing history, and part personal anecdotal stories. Beautiful presentation, with awesome photos and route topos. Coffee-table sized.
If not better than Fifty Classic Climbs of North America and Fifty Favourite Climbs: The Ultimate North American Tick List, it is most definitely in the same league.
Interesting and funny Introduction by Barry Blanchard too.
Highly recommended. |

| Could you imagine Fred Beckey's book with John Scurlock's (or Steph Abbeg's) pictures in it? That would be an amazing colaboration. |

Hi Nathan - I ordered it online from Chapters (took 4 days to arrive).
You can get it direct from Patagonia too. I have not yet seen it actually available in any bookstores yet.
Happy reading and planning! |
