I must admit I have been rather lazy about posting trip reports on CT the last few years, but this was such a fun trip I just had to share. My husband secretly planned with two of my friends for a girl’s trip to the SW to celebrate my milestone birthday last October. This would be my second hiking trip to the SW in 2011.
As the saying goes what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Fortunately we didn't stay long in sin city so we can share most of what happened on our week long trip to the Southwest. Warning: the following video is for immature audiences only, viewer discretion is advised. FYI - nwhikers refers to the Washington based hiking forum where the three of us met. http://vimeo.com/32599024
Photos from the video can be found in my SW Flickr Collection:

Sorry I should have included a few teaser photos, but wasn't on a computer with access to my files.

| Karen, those are beautiful photos. I also enjoyed peaking at your other pics from the Valhallas and Selkirks. |

AT, I think you're probably underestimating that. Actually I make my movies while commuting to work on the Westcoast Express, so I take my time and have fun with it.
Sandy I was thinking of you this summer since I hit up a few areas in your stomping grounds. I hope to spend a bit more time over there this year as well, such beautiful areas that have been sitting on my hit list for years. |

Haha, that was awesome!
You definitely did put a lot of time and effort into that. The filming as well as the editing. Looked like a great trip. |

Fun video! Not a slickrock kinda gal? White pockets is a favorite of mine. Never been to Coyote Gulch. Looks great. Haven't been to Trader Joe's in a while, either. Gotta make a Vegas run. You've got a great husband to set this secret trip up for you. Happy birthday!! |
