Hi all,
For summer 2012 we're planning a road trip to Yellowstone and I'm looking for some day hiking ideas for our various stops. If you've hiked in any of these areas I'd love to find out which ones and why you recommend it.
Our itinerary is as follows:
Leavenworth, Wash. - 2 nights - need a suggestion for a longish day hike
Couer d'Alene Lake, Idaho - 2 nights - we'll try to rent either a canoe or kayaks here so we can do some paddling
Yellowstone - 8 nights - would like suggestions for day hikes that won't see hordes of tourist (off the beaten path). We also plan to paddle Yellowstone Lake and take a day trip down to the Grand Tetons (any hikes suggested there?)
