It's in Mexico, in the NE corner near a small town called Hidalgo. The climbing is on limestone, pretty much all sport routes (there are a few trad routes but, as most people fly down, most people climb sport) from one pitch to 23 pitches, you rap off every route, so simul-rapping is a good idea. It's warm, it's sunny, it's cheap, it's fun.

Momma, a street dog, who had 8 babies while we were there.
Market days are Tuesday and Friday. Awesome local produce and eggs. The locals play bottle top bingo.
Meat also available for the paleo crew.
 Drive in barbeque.
 Lots of cool rock formations.

One day we went to a different area and climbed 8 pitch Crescent Moon buttress which features a fun tyrolean to end the day.

| Appears to be a very nice vacation! Are locals also climbing here or were you a spectacle? |

On weekends the Mexicans come to climb. They don't seem super keen on the longer routes, but they sure can crank on shorter routes - we saw them stylin 12's.
Before the drug wars, the place was super popular with - reportedly - near 600 climbers, now there is around a dozen at any one time. |

| How'd you get the dog out? Did someone carry it up with one arm? |

| The dog only weighs about 25#. Someone rapped down, tied a sling to her and pushed while we pulled and she scrabbled. Rescue not performed as per PEP guidelines. |

Beautiful terrain. Looks like some really great routes.
So you go to Mexico and don't hit the beaches? Sure hurts coming back to the snow, though, doesn't it? |
