If you're heading to Diamond Head on Friday Nov. 11, you may find the road is closed. About halfway up there are a bunch of houses on private lots. Just below that is a bridge. The bridge is being redecked from Nov. 7-11.
It's possible it's closed only during working hours, so the residents can get to and from their properties. I don't recall seeing any sign warning about this at the bottom of the road, but I wasn't looking for a sign either.
