First post for me, been lurking for a week or two.. Easterner here, don't hold it against me please.. I was in Canadian Tire today and bought a kids pair of Tubbs snowshoes (flurry) and saw a 21" "starter kit" by Powderidge and wondered if anyone could comment on the quality? I have looked through some of the topics on snowshoes and have decided I would be buying either Atlas or Tubbs for myself, my girlfriend and her daughter. Then I saw these.. I am hoping I can get some help from the pros on here, thanks.

Pathfinder has a set of 27's. I think he's tried them out by now...maybe give him a shout.

In my limited experience they seem fine to me. Built like any of the few others of this type that I have seen.

The bindings are probalby the weak point. Takes me a fair bit of adjusting to get them so they feel right but once I do they work ok.

The package comes with poles which are 2 piece instead of the 3 I usually see for hiking poles but no big deal. The instructional CD is a complete waste of time.

Seems like the package of of decent value for a beginner/occasional user.
