I headed down to Washington to my friends RV after the lions game on Friday night (BC Place opener) and arrived at 3am. Our alarms woke us up at 6am to get moving for our hike to Hidden Peak Fire Lookout (Not sure how I did it). Dallas and I bumbled around the Marysville area for a bit before getting a move on and hitting the trail around 9:50am. It was very wet, very foggy and Very cold on the First. We started the trail at 5C but it dropped to 1C to 2C at the peak. On the way up the switchbacks in the meadows the fog rolled in and out the entire time opening and closing views every few minutes. Once we made it to just below the last push to the summit though and where the snow appeared the fog became very thick and never broke. We made it to the fire lookout and had a quick lunch and signed the guestbook and Dallas found the Geocache up there. We then realized we were to bloody cold and started building our way back down the boulders that lead up to the peak. It was wet, cold and foggy but we had a great day on the trail and can not wait to get back there when it is sunny out!
Oh ya side note: Hidden Lake is still hidden and I can not tell you where it was! Other side note: This was my first hike in Washington State
