Although I cannot say I have looked very hard, I have at least very much wanted a map of all of British Columbia for some time now. There's something inspiring about looking at a map of this huge province and thinking 'where will I go to next?'

So, where can I find a fairly detailed map of the whole province? I am not looking for something small. 6', 7' ,or even 8' tall would be amazing. I definitely liked what I saw when I walked into Mile One in Pemberton and could just stare at a wall-sized map of the area.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Have you tried BCAA. Maps are free if you're a member.

Sadly the BCAA map of BC stops north of PG. It's only the south half of the province. You need the Yukon and Alaska map to get Northern BC.

Have you tried ITMB, they have awesome maps.

Except that he'd have to cut out and tape all the pages together. Actually, come to think of it, that would be pretty cool!

A stitched together panorama of backroads mapbooks would be pretty awesome. Wallpaper your living room with it ... classy.

Z-Point Graphics make my favorite British Columbia map. It's lovely (despite also covering a portion of, eww, Alberta).

Anyone ever go see the world's largest physical terrain model of BC when it was set-up in Victoria? Now that looks like it was the ultimate BC map:

I used to have that one on the wall as well, and still have the old "South-West British Columbia and San Juan Islands from Space" satellite image up since it nicely covers daytrip range.

I've been hoping to get something like this, but of all of North America. I figure it would be cool to plot out places I've been, worked, highways traveled, etc. Something that could cover a whole wall.

Thanks for this! The tiny portion of the larger map that they preview seems to be about what I'm looking for. If I go pick one up I'll be sure to post up a picture.

Me too ... used to head right to that giant map, at the PNE, as soon as we went through the gates. I was awestruck, still am.

Data are as of 1990.

It's a little out of date with respect to parks and so on!

The government has put together a stunning BC map that's up to date with all the parks.

Any recommendations on where to get this map printed? It's 70" x 55".
