So, you're truck is in the shop having the muffle reattached after it fell off on a logging road:

and, you're hanging around Nelson wondering what to do with your time.
Go climb The Date on Pulpit Rock. Three pitches, fully bolted with comfy stations, a great access trail, clean rock, a nice view of Nelson from the top, and an easy walk-off. Plus, you'll entertain the tourists hiking up the regular trail as you pull the crux roof at the top of the final pitch.
Doug coming up to a comfy belay station.
 Starting the final pitch.

Good stuff. I hiked to Pulpit Rock when I stayed over in Nelson on a long weekend in 2008. And then up further along the trail, past a large staff and flag and onwards to the microwave towers at the top of Mount Nelson.
Excellent wild blueberries right by the trail...
